Stockton Town finally return to the MAP Group UK Stadium after nearly a month of away games.
The last time the Anchors were at home was all the way back on the 4th November, when a penalties victory against Hebburn Town saw Michael Dunwell’s side progress into the quarter-finals of the Durham Challenge Cup, where Dunston soon await.
Since then, the Anchors have played just two away games, losing at Rylands’ neighbours Warrington Town, followed by a dramatic victory at Lancaster City most recently.
Josh Scott’s early goal was nullified by a second-half strike, before Michael Sweet provided a crucial touch on a Lewis King strike in the 95th minute to secure a much-needed three points.
Ryan Barrett made an impressive debut for Stockton, alongside Adam Nicholson in defence who returned from suspension.
THE OPPOSITION
Warrington Rylands have had an amazing start to the 2025/26 season, currently sitting 2nd in the standings after a spectacular run of form.
Neil Reynolds’ have only two losses so far this season, one of which coming in their most recent outing against Whitby Town, which snapped a nine-game league unbeaten run.
Forward Ben Hardcastle is currently one of the league’s top goalscorers, with nine goals to his name already, after finding the target 13 times last season.
Dangerous ex-professional forward George Waring remains up-front for the 2021 FA Vase winners. His brace helped them to a victory at the MAP Group UK Stadium last season, and looked incredibly strong in his performance.
HEAD-TO-HEAD

PRE-MATCH QUOTES
Looking ahead to the game, Manager Michael Dunwell said:
“It’s another tough game. They’ve been top of the league after an excellent start to the season, they deserve to be where they are. They were probably the best team who played at our ground last year so we know we’re in for a tough ask.
We can’t do it one game and switch off the next, we’ve got to be more consistent and put a run together.”
