Junior Membership

This coming season of 2024/25 promises to be a great one for the club, with us currently having 33 junior teams throughout our STFC family.

Over the last six seasons, the club has taken the stance to freeze its subscription fees for junior players as we understand how important it is for kids to access football and the enormous benefits that this brings. This season, we are increasing subs by £1 per month, totaling an increase of £9 for the entire season. Given the nature of inflation over the last six years in every aspect of our lives, the club can no longer continue to absorb the entire rise in costs it takes to sustain all that we do.

We are sure you understand that the increase of £9 for an entire year still sees STFC absorbing the majority of the inflation rise across every aspect that affects us. However, we must implement this very small increase to continue providing all juniors throughout our club with the myriad of benefits that come with playing at STFC.

Subs will continue to contribute towards training and games on our grass pitches, which have seen a huge investment over the last 12 months despite the worst rainfall in living memory last winter. Winter training on the 3G Map Group Stadium, games being moved where possible onto the 3G during the grass pitches getting cancelled, energy bills throughout the club, the bar and social areas, staffing costs, player registrations and insurance, 3G maintenance and improvement, Football Development Officer support for all coaches and juniors, enabling coaches to access the STFC coaches club benefits, referee fees, coaching qualifications, football equipment, and the ongoing repair and upkeep of the overall facility.

Our costings still keep us competitively in line with other local clubs throughout the North East as we try to ensure the best environment possible for our junior footballers to attend, feel safe and engaged, and continue to develop as young people as well as young footballers on this great journey.
