Stockton Town are set for some midweek NPL action when Leek Town make the long trip to Teesside.
The Anchors enter the game on the back of two incredible victories against Lancaster City and Warrington Rylands most recently, ending the month of November on a high.
Kevin Hayes, Josh Scott and Jake Petitjean all found the target in a remarkable showing on Saturday.
Scott now has seven goals in his last nine games, and will be looking to add to that further this evening.
This game is one of Stockton’s games in hand on the teams above them, and have a chance to further close the gap on the league leaders with a win.
Ryan Barrett could be in line for his home debut, after missing Saturday with an illness.
THE OPPOSITION
Leek were promoted to the Premier Division as the West Division champions in 2023/24, meeting Stockton in their first game at the level in August 2024, where Stockton secured a 2-0 win in Staffordshire that day.
After comfortably securing safety last season, the Blues currently sit 16th in the standings, although they have played less games than most of the teams surrounding them.
They enter tonight’s game on a three-game unbeaten streak, picking up solid wins against Whitby Town and Ashton United in the process.
Midway through August, there was a change at the helm for Leek, as former assistant manager Josh Brehaut took charge of the club following Neil Baker’s resignation. Brehaut has experience as a Head of Academy Coach at Port Vale, as well as spending time with Stoke City’s academy.
Former York City and Port Vale talent Alex Hurst is the one to watch for Brehaut’s side. He has five goals to his name so far this season, following his 15 last season, and causes plenty of problems for defenders.

PRE-MATCH QUOTES
Looking ahead to the game following Saturday’s victory, Manager Michael Dunwell said:
“We want to go and put two home wins together and make it three in our last three. We want to keep pressure on the teams above us. We have to apply ourselves the same way we did in those last two games and look to get another three closer to those playoff positions.”
