Stockton Town return to the MAP Group UK Stadium on Tuesday night as they host Prescot Cables.
The two sides face off a month after the fixture was postponed due to Snow. Since then Stockton have won one, drew two and lost one. In their latest encounter the Anchors relented a two-goal lead at Bamber Bridge to draw 2-2. It was the second time it had happened this season after the ‘Brig’ has wrestled back from the same deficit in the reverse fixture.
Stockton will be without Tom Coulthard who misses out due to work committments and Amar Purewal who is injured.
Lewis King is fine despite going off at the break during the draw at Bamber Bridge.
THE OPPOSITION
Prescot Cables began 2026 on the back foot after releasing a frank statement on their challenging financial situation at the end of December. They also saw key players depart in goalkeeper Calvin Hare and top scorer Ben Elliott.
Despite this they are currently 15th with 32 points from 28 games. Their home form remains strong with two vital wins over Whitby Town and Warrington Rylands in recent weeks. The latter was most impressive as they put Play-Off chasing Rylands down 3-0.
Ste Daley’s outfit continue to find the road a difficult place to find points. Last time out they conceded an 89th minute goal from Jay Fitzmartin to lose 2-1 at FC United of Manchester. It was a de ja vu from their previous away game where they had conceded a late winner from Reece Daly to lose 2-1 at Warrington Town.
They have brought a number of players on loan recently. Goalkeeper Connor Edwards has arrived from Burnley, midfielder Finley Tunstall from Accrington Stanley and forward Oskar Rosenblatt from Chester.

“It’s always a tough game against Prescot. They work really hard and they will be up for it. It’s not going to be easy by any means.
