Stockton Town make their return to the MAP Group UK Stadium with the visit of Ilkeston Town.

The Anchors bounced back from last Saturday’s Isuzu FA Trophy exit at Clitheroe with a midweek win at Hednesford Town.

Backed by 38 hardy travelling fans, Stockton came from behind to take the victory thanks to Josh Scott’s late goal. They had trailed inside five minutes but Captain Adam Nicholson levelled proceedings on his return to the line-up. Things were aided by Max Sheaf’s red card for an off-the-ball incident, but Stockton made use of that man advantage for the three points.

Michael Dunwell will welcome back Lewis King who missed the last two games due to a back spasm.

THE OPPOSITION

After missing out on the Play-Offs by three points last season, Manager Ian Deakin currently finds his outfit in 10th, unbeaten in over a month and the same distance from the Play-Offs at this stage.
Last time out they secured their passage to the Isuzu FA Trophy Second Round with a 3–1 win over Southern Premier Central side St Ives Town.

Prior to that in the league, Robbie Fox’s 101st-minute equaliser had earned them a credible 2–2 draw at home to now league leaders Warrington Rylands. On their last away day, they were 4–1 winners at Guiseley, with summer signing Dylan Youmbi and Harvey Kirby-Moore sharing the goals with a brace each.

PRE-MATCH QUOTES

Looking ahead to the game, Michael Dunwell said:

“It’s always a tough and tight game against Ilkeston, but we’re looking to build on a fantastic away performance at Hednesford on Tuesday.
We’re in a good position, but we need to make home games count and turn some of the draws we’ve had recently into wins.”
