Stockton Town return to the MAP Group UK Stadium on Saturday to take on Bamber Bridge.
The Anchors come into the game on the back of an excellent 2-1 away win at Cleethorpes Town last Saturday. Amar Purewal put Stockton ahead with his first league goal for the club, but Cleethorpes equalised through Bailey Conway. Stockton took home the three points when Stephen Thompson netted another special strike.
Stockt0n will again be without Captain Adam Nicholson who continues to recover from a knee injury. Tom Coulthard has also been ruled out with a medial ligament injury. Josh Scott will also be out with a slight hamstring injury.
On a positive note, Owen Gallacher returns after six weeks on the sidelines. Jack Spears is back in the squad.
THE OPPOSITION
Bamber Bridge currently occupy 13th in the table- the exact same position they finished last season in.
It was a turbulent season for the ‘Brig’ who flirted with relegation before finishing ten points clear of the bottom four. It’s a year to the day their fundraiser ‘Save Bamber Bridge Football Club’ was launched- which has raised over 17k to date.
Under the guidance of Jamie Milligan, who has almost registered six years at the helm, they made a strong start in August winning four of their first six games.
September has been less fruitful with a credible point at Ashton United and a comeback point at home to Stocksbridge Park Steels to show for their efforts.
The towering striker Ewan Bange is one to watch for the visitors. He has really found a place at Bamber Bridge and has five goals in the league.
They have also added Jamie Allen who was most recently at Workington and Nathan Okome who recently left Leek Town due to his participation in the Baller League.

PRE-MATCH QUOTES
For his programme notes, Michael Dunwell looked ahead to the game and said:
“Today’s opponents Bamber Bridge are a team that have surprised a few this year with some of the results they’ve had. There haven’t been many teams who haven’t made a good start. The league is congested at the minute and there’s not much between any side. In this league, as those of us who follow it know, anyone can beat anyone. It’s another home game where we’ve been excellent, and hopefully we can make it three wins in a row and keep ourselves on the coattails of Lancaster, who have had an extremely good start themselves.”
