Stockton Town are back on their travels as they make the trip to South Yorkshire to face Stocksbridge Park Steels.
The Anchors head into the game on the back of a disappointing midweek home defeat to Leek Town where they made to lament missed chances. Kev Hayes scored a late penalty but it was too late to spark a comeback.
This game is the first reversed fixture of the season, in the earlier season game Kev Hayes’s stoppage time freekick saw Stockton come from 2-0 down to win 3-2.
Michael Dunwell has the same squad to select from as he did on Tuesday night.
THE OPPOSITION
Stocksbridge Park Steels have today announced the appointment of Jordan Lemon as their new manager where he will be assisted by Joe Tomlinson.
Lemon, who is Stocksbridge’s longest serving player, took interim charge following the departure of Ian Richards to Guiseley at the end of October. Richards had earned the attention of Guiseley after guiding Stocksbridge back to Step Three for the first time since 2014 via a Play-Off victory at Dunston.
Since Richards left, Stocksbridge have fallen back into the relegation zone after losing five of their last six league games. Although they have shown they can produce an impressive result with a 1-0 win at Ilkeston Town on November 22nd.
Polish forward Owlier Grzelak is one to watch, the winger has impressed since his arrival from Guiseley. Striker James Morris has also been sharp up front, he added to his goal tally with a midweek strike at Hillsborough in Stocksbridge’s dramatic 3-3 Sheffield Senior Cup against Sheffield Wednesday.

THE OPPOSITION VIEW
Speaking after Wednesday night’s game, Jordan Lemon said:
“We always have good games against Stockton. They’re a good team and have a good bunch of lads who play for them. They’re hardworking and have a great management staff.
“We’ll set up to win the game. We’ve never beaten them but those records are there to be broken.”
PRE-MATCH QUOTES
Looking ahead to the latest test, Michael Dunwell said:
“We have been playing well but we just didn’t convert our chances on Tuesday night which in the end cost us.
“Stocksbridge are battling for points at the wrong end of the table and they have had a lot of change recently. We know it will be another tough away game.”
