LADIES | Stockton Town see off Hartlepool United

Stockton Town Ladies picked up their second league win in a row with a 2-0 win over Hartlepool United.

The Anchors dominated the match from the get-go, and certainly deserved all three points, taking their tally up to six from their opening four games in the North East Regional Women’s Football League.

Both goals came either side of the half-time interval, from defender Anna Murphy. The first of which being an audacious strike from near the halfway line that had too much power behind it for the goalkeeper to deal with.

Anna then slotted home her second 20 minutes from the close, finishing a Talia Korucu corner.

Captain Murphy came inches away from a hat-trick late in the game, poking an effort wide of the target.

Anna Murphy was rewarded with the Player of the Game award for her efforts.
