Anchors loanees off the mark at new clubs

Many of Anchors dual-registrations and loanees impressed over the weekend.

Vinnie Steels made his second appearance for Bishop Auckland, and found the target in his 45 minutes of action in the Two Blues’ win over playoff-pushing Heaton Stannington.

Jack Spears also got off the mark for his new club, Northallerton Town, scoring a crucial goal in their win over West Allotment Celtic.

Seb Waller, fresh off of his player of the month award for January at Billingham Synthonia, was given another start as Synners fell to a slender defeat against league-leading Redcar Town.

Dan Dryden also started the game, whilst Michael Smith was a second-half substitute.

After postponements on Saturday, Joe Kennedy will be hoping to make another positive impact for Thornaby on Tuesday when they take on Newcastle Benfield, whilst Spears and Steels also have games scheduled with their sides.
