Stockton Town can today unveil the signing of former Premier League striker Frank Nouble.
Nouble (pronounced Noo-Blay), a Chelsea academy product, has over 500 career appearances across the Premier League, EFL, Non-League and China, and joins the Anchors after a short stint with Spennymoor Town.
The 6’3” target-man, now 34 years old, will look to bring his professional experience to the Anchors’ strike force.
Speaking on the signing, Manager Michael Dunwell has stated: “With Amar [Purewal] leaving, that leaves a space in that centre forward position, and partner Josh in a front two which we’ll be looking to do on occasions again.
“He’s the kind of player we’ve never had, a big target man who can attack things in the air, hold the ball up and is good with his feet too. He’s a character too, he’ll bring a lot to the place. He’s said himself he’s a guy who likes to get people going, so it’s another leader, another former captain who will help us in a number of different ways.
“It’s exciting to have him at the club and we’re looking forward to see what he can bring, whether it be on his own or with Josh. I’m sure the fans will absolutely love him as well.”
