Anchors Make it Six in a Row in the Snow

After another monumental effort by volunteers, committee and players the pitch was cleared of the 2 inches of snow that fell on Teesside in just 2 hours. Stockton were second best for long periods of the first half and RCA were very careless in front of goal, but Stockton showed their resilience once more with Tom Coulthard outstanding again and a couple of great saves from Liam Jordan. Second half saw a different Anchors and Kevin Hayes influencing the game as only he can. Stockton had the better of the chances and OWENS put them in front on 73 with a nice curled shot into the far corner from 16 yards. HAYES tied up the points on 88 just after another brilliant one handed save by Jordan, when he raced onto a lovely ball from Jamie Owens and rounded Bussey to finish. Stockton are now 7th in the ENL Div 1, unbelievable considering where they were in mid September, huge credit to the players and management is due. Long may it continue.
