Anchors earn deserved point at Shildon

An entertaining game saw one of the title favourites Shildon have the better of the opening 20 minutes but the Anchors playing a new 3-5-2 formation, grew into the game and ended the the half well and there was nothing to choose between the sides they also squandered the best chance of the game.
Blackford gave Shildon the lead early in the second half but after that the Anchors were pretty much on top and created several opportunities to equalise until Mikey Roberts crashing finish from a Jimmy Ward through ball. Chris Stockton had a chance to win it after that but a point was a satisfying result on the opening day and Micky Dunwell and his backroom team will be pleased and maybe a little disappointed it wasnt 3 points, good start however.
