The First Words: Jamie Bramwell

Defender Jamie Bramwell has spoken following after being announced as the Anchors’ fourth summer recruit.

The 21-year-old expressed his delight on joining the club: “I’m very exited, I think it’s the right fit for me and the ambitions of the club seem really exciting, so I’m really looking forward to getting started”

Fans have just one week to wait before seeing Jamie in action, and he looks ahead to next week’s game at Newton Aycliffe by saying: “I can’t wait for pre-season to start, I just want the games to come around as quick as possible and get going.”

Bramwell joins up with some former friends from his time at Grimsby Town, and has spoken on his excitement to rejoin those: “I’ve been speaking with Owen [Gallacher] and Cam [Painter] about what the club is like and it all sounds very promising, they have been saying nothing but positive things about it, so from there it was another factor that made me want to sign.”

The centre back closes by describing what Anchors fans can expect to see from him on the pitch: “I think the supporters can expect to see someone who is hard-working with a good attitude to progress. I like to use the ball and I like to think I’m comfortable on it, I have a good understanding of the game and read the game well from the back.”
