The First Words: Aaron Brown

Aaron Brown has spoken to Stockton Town media following his move to the club.

He opens by exclaiming his excitement upon joining the Anchors: “I’m really looking forward to getting going. I know Jake [Petitjean] really well, and I’ve spoken to guys like Mikey Roberts and James Risborough and they’ve all said about the group of lads that’s here, and how good it is to be part of.”

Aaron further explains the conversations between himself and former Newton Aycliffe, now current, teammate Jake Petitjean ahead of the decision to join: “Jake was my first point of call, he said how much he’s loved his time here.

“The core players I’ve played against a bunch, I know how talented they are, but I’d like to think I can bed in well and take us that step further.”

Brown dives further into his experiences around the club: “I came down to a good amount of games last season, saw the incredible attendances, it’s clearly well supported and I love the way Michael [Dunwell] plays football, he’s got very similar values to me and I’m excited to get involved.”

I’m massively looking forward to winning these fans over. I always give 100%, I can play a variety of positions, primarily holding midfield and centre half but I’ve played a lot at full back, and even on the wing on occasion. I’m very loud, everyone will be able to hear me and I think I’ll get on well with the group here.”

Anchors fans can catch Aaron, alongside yesterday’s announcement of Layton Watts, in action in 21 home games throughout the season, by purchasing a season ticket here.
