Stockton Town FC College Academy Partners With Middlesbrough Women FC

Stockton Town Football Club are delighted to announce that we have added to our partnership with Stockton Sixth Form College by announcing our new partnership with Middlesbrough Women FC.

A huge reason for the success of our boys academy to date has been the delivery from the Anchors and the possibility for boys to progress through the setup and have a target of attempting to play for our high-flying first team.

Partnering with Middlesbrough Women FC allows girls attending the college academy the aspiration of moving towards the best ladies side in the Teesside area with Middlesbrough Women playing in The FA WPL Premier Division.

Players, as part of the academy, will be watched by staff and coaches working within the Middlesbrough Women setup and therefore have the potential of breaking through.

With Stockton Town FC delivering such a strong program and now working closely with the backroom staff at Middlesbrough Women FC, we have the perfect partnership to allow girls the opportunity to carry on their footballing careers by playing at a high level while continuing their studies within Stockton Sixth Form College.

Stockton Sixth Football Academy manager Liam Cox said: “This gives the strongest local female footballers the chance to train every day at a quality football program and now have aspirations of reaching the highest level of football available in the area with Middlesbrough Women FC.

“Working closely with their coaches we will be able to push any players who have the ability and potential to reach those high standards as far as they can go.”
