Stockton started the day as League leaders with a 100% record however this was threatened when Steven Bogie swept Ashbrooke Belford House into an 8th minute lead. It did not take long for Stockton to get back on level terms when Chris Stockton bent a superb effort into the far corner on 18 minutes. This gave Stockton the belief they needed and despite kicking into a very strong wind were now dominating the match. It was no surprise when Stockton took the lead but what a goal, a long diagonal ball from Adam Nicholson picked out Chris Stockton in the right wing area, one touch out of his feet before he delivered the ball into the box, where Max Craggs met the ball on the full to smash an unstoppable volley into the net on 38 minutes. Next for Stockton was last years leading goalscorer Kallum Hannah who chipped into the far corner on 40 minutes and a minute later Chris Stockton burst through the Ashbrooke defence, rounded the keeper to grab Stocktons fourth. Chris Stockton wasn’t finished for the half and on 44 minutes he robbed the Ashbrooke left back of possession, raced through, rounded the keeper and scored his third of the game to complete his hat trick, his third hat trick of the Season in only the fourth League game, a remarkable achievement. A half time lead of 5 1 and four goals scored in 6 minutes. The second half saw Stockton continuing to dominate the game but found the Ashbrooke goalkeeper in inspiring form with a string of good saves and it wasn’t until the final five minutes when Stockton got their sixth. Tony Johnson pounced onto a loose ball in the box to grab his second of the Season to finish the scoring and leave Stockton 6 1 victors.
