Stockton Town 1 Horden CW 0
Horden came with the intention of keeping Hannah quiet as the Stockton striker had scored an hat trick in his last two games.
Horden had the best of the early play and almost took the lead after 12 minutes an Ethan Payne shot was saved by Michael Arthur the ball ended at the feet of Chris Tarn who put the ball into the net, but thankfully the assistants flag was up for offside.
After this early scare Stockton got more into the game, Stockton scored what turned out to be the winning goal after 24 minutes, after winning a free kick just outside the area the Horden defence put markers on Hannah and Nicholson but they left Tom Coulthard unmarked as Max Craggs placed the free kick onto Coulthard’s head and he placed the ball past Christopher Davidson in the Horden goal.
Stockton could have got a second goal after 50 minutes another Craggs free kick taken quickly but Davidson managed to get a hand to the ball and managed to clear the ball.
This was to be the closest either side could get to each others goal as they cancelled each other out, Horden had a late chance when Peter Crawford put the ball past Arthur but his shot wasn’t strong enough and Alan Cossavella cleared the ball as the ball was trickling towards the goal.
