Stockton Town fell to defeat at Blyth Spartans in their latest Pre-Season outing.
Goals from Jack Foalle, Lucas Taylor and an own goal from Harvey Carberry gave the home side the win.
Layton Watts returned from injury and was given the start. There was also a place for Tom Birtles in midfield. Josh Baggs also started the game following his cameo on Tuesday night.
Stockton had the early half chances. Josh Scott had a strike at the near angle saved, and later Baggs tested the goalkeeper from range.
Blyth should have had the lead when Foalle burst through and rounded Nathan Harker but Adam Nicholson denied him on the line.
Harker was then put into action when he prevented Dan Lanning.
Closing in on the break, Blyth opened the scoring when neat play saw Foalle find a composed finish.
Stockton almost had a response when strong hold up play from Scott saw him play the ball back to Stephen Thompson who fired wide.

Harker had to sharp to deny the first two Spartans chances of the second half. First he denied Foalle his second, and on the hour he kept out Olly Martin.
Stockton came close to an equaliser when Birtles picked out subsitute Michael Sweet in the box but he couldn’t keep his effort down.
Scott then had a chance but Jordan Summerly produced a strong block.
Blyth nearly had their second when Lanning worked his way into a shooting position but he curled wide.
The second did come when Taylor worked space on the right edge of the box and slotted into the far corner.
A third was added shortly after when Lanning’s hit the post from an angle and the rebound was turned in by the unfortunate Carberry.
