Stockton Town are back on the road on Saturday as they face a tough trip to Worksop.
The Anchors come off the back of a 1-0 win over FC United of Manchester last Saturday which moved them back into the Play-Off places.
Adam Nicholson’s header in first half stoppage time was enough for an important three points.
Michael Sweet returns to the squad after missing last week’s game. Jacob Johnson will be back at Guisborough Town, and Arjun Purewal remains a week away from returning.
THE OPPOSITION
Worksop were heavily fancied to challenge Macclesfield for the league this season but already find themselves 15 points off the pace.
That said, The Tigers are still having a decent campaign and are currently 3rd after taking 32 points from their first 18 games.
In midweek they secured their passage into the next round of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup with a 4-1 win at Handsworth.
Liam Hughes, who was particularly prolific when Worksop beat Stockton to the NPL East title in 2023, bagged himself a brace.
In addition to Hughes, Jordan Burrrows has also been sharp in front of goal with 13 to his name.
Luke Hall, Vaughan Redford and Aleksandrs Starcenko- all of whom featured in the title-winning season of 2023, remain vital today with a combined 21 goals between them.
