Stockton Town host Wythenshawe Amateurs as they make their first appearance in the Third Qualifying Round.

The Young Anchors overcame Morpeth Town in the previous round with a superb 5-4 victory.

A goal-ladened first-half saw the visiting Highwaymen go into break with a 4-3 lead.

Striker Tyrone Dhliwayo proved to be the star man for the Anchors as he added doubled his tally for a four goal haul and send Stockton Town through to next round.

Dhilwayo’s performances earned a spot in the first team and he made his debut in the 1-1 draw at Grantham Town.

Tommy Mood, Stockton Town’s other goalscorer, also was featured among the substitutes at Grantham Town.

Wythenshawe Amateurs are also making their first appearance in the Third Qualifying Round.

They have been prolific scorers in the competition and taken some scalps on the way.

In the Preliminary Round they cruised to victory with a 6-1 drubbing of Southport.

They were then involved in a nine-goal thriller coming out on top 5-4 at Nantwich Town.

In the last round they beat FC United of Manchester 3-0 at home.

Speaking ahead of the game, Under-18 Manager Joe Lillie said:

“All the lads including our coaching team are excited for the next challenge.

“Morpeth really took us to the wire and we know will have to fight tooth and nail to get the result.

“Wythenshawe won’t be no pushovers but neither will we.”
