Stockton Town return to the MAP Group UK Stadium for their only home game of February when they host Warrington Rylands.

The Anchors have won three-straight games and are in fifth- the final Play-Off place.

Last time out substitute Michael Fowler’s stunning volley with six minutes remaining sealed a huge three points at Blyth Spartans on Tuesday night.

Captain Adam Nicholson begins the start of his four-game ban. There will also be a fitness test for Josh Scott who came off the pitch in the first half at Blyth Spartans as a precaution.

THE OPPOSITION

Warrington Rylands are currently 8th in the NPL Premier Division after taking 40 points from 28 games.

Manager Neil Reynolds took over the job in late September when Rylands were in the relegation zone after a disappointing start to the season.

The former FC United boss has helped them shoot up the league, particularly in recent weeks where they have won four-straight and they remain unbeaten since late November in the league.

On Tuesday night they earned an excellent three points at Prescot Cables. Second half goals from George Waring and Jack Daniels secured a big win at what has been a challenging venue for some of the league’s top clubs.

Midfielder Ben Hardcastle is one of Rylands top performers this season. Hardcastle, who arrived from Atherton Collieries in 2023, has hit double figures this season with 12 so far.

Forward Jake Burton, who played in the EFL at Tranmere, is also in double figures with 11 goals for the campaign. He last struck in the 4-0 win at Bamber Bridge.

PRE-MATCH QUOTES

Speaking after the win at Blyth Spartans, JD Briggs looked ahead to the meeting with Warrington Rylands:

“It’s going to be another tough game in this league, and if you’re winning games 1-0 you have done really really well because those wins keep adding up.

“Three out of three, that’s nine points. Obviously we would like another three but we are a lot more comfortable there than we were after the Gainsborough game.

“We will need to be on it because they (Warrington Rylands) are going to want to get one back on us and they will be very good.”
