Stockton Town begin their four-game home stand with the visit of Lancaster City.
Following another postponement on Saturday at Blyth Spartans, the Anchors head into Wednesday’s with a week’s rest following their FA Trophy defeat to Rochdale.
Michael Dunwell’s men remained busy on Saturday with a session which made the most of our fantastic facilities as the lads were put through their paces in the gym and enjoyed some futsal fun.
In terms of team news, there is a fully fit squad to choose. Although Cam Painter did suffer a dead leg against Rochdale, while Josh Baggs has been suffering a sickness buy. Both will be fine for the game as per Michael Dunwell.
THE OPPOSITION
Lancaster City can very much be titled as the league’s ‘draw specialists’ having drawn half of their 24 games so far this season.
Like the majority of the league, they were out of action on Saturday as their game against Prescot Cables was postponed. Their last action came on New Year’s Day when they were held to a goalless draw by Mickelover.
There was a milestone for manager Chris Willcock on Sunday as he celebrated his first year in charge of the club. Last season he guided the club to a ninth-place finish and currently has them in the same position again.
Aaron Bennett is one to watch, the arrival from FC United is instrumental in their attacking play and has shown a pedigree for a spectacular goal.
Lewis Mansell, who made his debut in the reverse fixture, is another to watch. He scored the winner in their victory at Bamber Bridge on Boxing Day.

PRE-MATCH QUOTES
For his programme notes, Michael Dunwell looked ahead to the game:
“Lancaster are just below us in the league and we know they will be tough opponents from our loss at their ground earlier in the season.
“But, at home, we have been excellent especially in the league and will be looking for maximum points.”
