THE OPPOSITION

Grimsby Borough are coming to the close of their debut season in the Northern Premier League and look set for a comfortable mid table finish.

It is fine achievement after losing their opening five games of the league season they did look certain to be in a relegation battle.

Although success in the middle part of the season saw them flirt with the Play-Offs but recent results have seen them fall away.

Boro have not won in their last five. Their last victory came on March 11th when they beat Grantham Town 3-1.

On Thursday night they played the second ‘El Haddocko’ of the season against Cleethorpes Town which ended in a goalless draw. That has given them just a days rest ahead of the trip to Teesside.

Adam Drury is the man to watch. He’s the only player to reach double figures for Grimsby Borough this season, one of which was a stunner in the reverse fixture with Stockton.

PRE-MATCH QUOTES

Looking ahead to the game, Manager Michael Dunwell said:

“We need that one final win depending on how results go for Hebburn.

“We will looking to win every game from now until the end of the season and take that good form going into the Play-Offs.”
