Stockton Town look to extend their league winning streak to eight games as the first-half of the season ends with Consett as the visitors on Boxing Day.Â
Glen Butterworth’s first-half header was the difference last time out for the Anchors, as Michael Dunwell’s side picked up a huge three points away at Stocksbridge Park Steels.Â
The game also marked another clean sheet to add to the Anchors incredible defensive record so far this season.Â

After a solid start to life in step four last season, finishing 13th in their inaugural Northern Premier League East Division season, Consett have started this year on emphatic form.
Tony Fawcett’s side are coming into the game on the back of a four game league unbeaten streak, dating back to late November. This places the Steelmen in third position, only six points behind the league-leading Anchors.Â
Forward Scott Fenwick leads the way for the Steelmen so far this season on six goals, with strike-partner Zak Atkinson not far behind on four goals.Â
