Stockton Town play their second Pre-Season friendly when they host Boro Rangers this evening.

The Anchors earned a credible 1-1 draw against National League North outfit Scarborough Athletic on Saturday.

Trialist B scored a really well-taken goal before a trialist levelled for Scarborough in the second.

The game saw action for all three of Stockton Town’s new signings with Michael Sweet starting the game, while fellow striker Michael Fowler and goalkeeper Niall Frampton featured in the second half.

These two teams met last Pre-Season, Stephen Thompson scored a brace and Cameron Painter got the other goal in a 3-1 win.

PRE-MATCH QUOTES

Speaking after Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Scarborough Athletic, Manager Michael Dunwell said:

“It’s a tough test. I think we played them last year and I wasn’t here but the reports back were that they were a really good footballing side.

“Obviously they had a really good year last year and I think they are looking to kick on in the Northern League Division One so will be another tough game.

Dunwell added: “These games are just about getting minutes into the legs, moving the ball around and getting it the right areas and getting back to the levels we were last season. If not higher.”
