Stockton Town face their toughest away day to date as they head to league leaders Macclesfield.
The big games continue to come for the Anchors who are still on a high following their FA Trophy upset against former Premier League outfit Oldham Athletic.
Captain Adam Nicholson got the opener before Michael Sweet sealed the triumph in stoppage time.
Their reward for that win is another big away day in early January at Rochdale’s Spotland.
THE OPPOSITION
Robbie Savage’s Macclesfield are currently leading the pack in the Northern Premier League Premier Division, and have an 11 point lead over second-place Guiseley.
At home they have been in imperious form with nine wins from their first ten games, with Hyde United the only side to take a share of the spoils at the Moss Rose this campaign.
Last time out on their home patch they produced a merciless 6-0 rout over struggling Blyth Spartans. Although since that win they have received some chinks in their armour as they suffered their first league defeat at Mickleover, and exited the FA Trophy on penalties at Altrincham.
Danny Elliott, signed from Scunthopre in the summer, has been in excellent form in front of goal and is the club’s top scorer with 18 goals.
Former Manchester United youth product D’Mani Mellor, who made his debut in the reverse fixture, has hit the ground running with nine goals in his first 20 games.
