Stockton Town are in midweek action when they make the trip to Lancaster City.
The Anchors lost their first home game of the season on Saturday as they succumbed to a narrow 1-0 defeat to title-favourites Macclesfield.
A crowd of 1,419, the highest-ever for an Stockton Town league match, witnessed a hard fought battle which was settled by Justin Johnson’s first half goal.
Stockton ended the game with ten-men when Adam Nicholson was dismissed in the second half.
The Anchors will welcome goalkeeper Nathan Harker and Owen Gallacher back to the squad.
THE OPPOSITION
Lancaster City are one of only two sides along with Macclesfield in the Northern Premier League Premier Division to be unbeaten through the first seven games of the campaign.
Yet, they did only secure their second win of the season on Saturday when they triumphed 2-1 at Gainsborough Trinity. The Dolly Blues came from behind to win with second half goals from Charlie Hall and Dominic Lawson. It was the ideal response to a disappointing FA Cup exit to Step 5 Barnoldswick Town in the previous midweek.
The only previous win prior to Saturday was 3-2 victory over Basford United on the opening. Elsewhere they have secured five draws which did include two against the current bottom two in Blyth Spartans and Matlock Town.
The aforementioned Lawson is Lancaster’s main goal threat. The striker, who made the step up from Step 7 in 2022, hit 10 goals last season and netted his second of this season at Gainsborough.
Striker Chris Dagnall is waiting to get off the mark for Lancaster. The former Barnsley player signed in the summer, although he has been out of action since the goalless draw against Barnoldswick on August 31st.
EAD-TO-HEAD
This encounter marks the first ever meeting between the two sides.

PRE-MATCH QUOTES
Looking ahead to the game, Manager Michael Dunwell said:
“The players are bit down in there because they think they should have got something out of the game (against Macclesfield) and are frustrated.
“Hopefully we can take that out on Lancaster on Tuesday.”
