Stockton Town return to Guiseley just two weeks after the 3-0 defeat in the league fixture after Saturday’s 2-2 draw took their Emirates FA Cup First Qualifying tie to a replay.

The Anchors took the lead through Tom Coulthard but that was cancelled out by goals from Harrison Hopper and Jordan Thewlis to give Guiseley a halftime lead.

Stockton had a dismal day on the injury front as both Jake Petitjean and Layton Watts left the field, the latter with a particularly bad looking injury.

Despite this they managed to force a replay through Frank Nouble’s first goal at the MAP Group UK Stadium.

Michael Dunwell was pleased with the spirit of his side, “The good thing about us today is that we had the passion. We had the belief that we could come from behind. We had bits of quality at times. We know we’re still not where we need to be on and off the ball but we’re working on that.”

Guiseley were left frustrated with Ian Richards reflecting in his post-match interview that he believed they controlled the game and he presented his displeasure at Stockton Town’s second goal which was conceded after the Lions gave away a corner with ten men on the pitch.

Following the draw on Monday afternoon the winner will face a trip to National League North club Hebburn Town.
