The Cup action continues for Stockton Town with a trip to Blyth Spartans in the FA Trophy.
Following their exit to Chester in the FA Cup at the Third Qualifying Round stage, it is time for the Anchors to embark on the other FA National competition in the FA Trophy.
Due to their Step Three status, Stockton are competing the furthest stage they ever have in the FA Trophy. In the previous two seasons, they were knocked out at the Second Qualifying Round. Last season Bootle ended their competition with a 2-0 win at the MAP Group UK Stadium.
Shane Henry will return to the squad for the game, while Stephen Thompson and Michael Sweet are possible to return.
THE OPPOSITION
Blyth Spartans last faced the Anchors just over two weeks ago and came away with a resounding 3-0 win at the MAP Group UK Stadium.
South Shields loanee Dan Savage netted a brace, and Billy Gordon scored the other.
It did not spark the season back into life for Spartans as they reverted to their previous form with back-to-back defeats.
First they lost 4-0 at Mickelover before following it up with a 2-0 home defeat to Basford United.
Blyth Spartans are competing in the FA Trophy Third Qualifying Round for the first time since 2016. Last season they were knocked out in the Third Round when they lost 2-0 at National League North club Chorley.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
The two sides played their first competitive fixture last month
