Kev Hayes has provided an update on his current injury status.
The Mercurial Winger picked up an injury in the final Pre-Season fixture at Whitby Town in early August.
He had enjoyed a strong Pre-Season up until that game with a brace against West Auckland Town and a goal against Newton Aycliffe.
“I’m feeling very good at the moment and very happy with how my recovery is going,” Hayes said.
“I got my diagnosis last week and it was very good news in terms of how bad I initially thought the injury was. I have two very small cracks on my ankle and a little bit of ligament damage, which should heal with good rehab.”
“I’m just waiting to hit the six-week post injury mark, then I can start my rehab with club head therapist Sam Higgins. This should take up to six weeks and if all goes well then it shouldn’t be too long before I’m back training and then playing.”
“Overall I’m very positive and very happy with how things are going and feeling, and I appreciate the kind words of support from Anchors fans.”
We can’t wait to see you back on the pitch soon, Kev!
