Jamie Bramwell named as summer signing number four

Stockton Town Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of central defender Jamie Bramwell ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The 21-year-old joins after a year with Gateshead, where he joined after a stint at Grimsby Town, winning promotion in his early years in the professional game.

Manager Michael Dunwell has expressed his delight on his latest recruit by saying:

“It’s great to bring Jamie to the club. We spoke just as the season ended, but didn’t think it was going to happen. Then, over last couple of days, we’ve come to an agreement and we are looking forward to seeing him in our back line.

“It’s ideal to get Jamie in before pre-season starts next weekend… it gives him plenty of time to get used to the players and management, and will get plenty of game time to be ready for start of the season.

“This adds to what has already been a very good summer for us. Jake, Amar, Vinnie and Jamie will add experience, energy, strength and quality to an already very good squad of players.

“Jamie is a 6ft 3 centre back, who has quality on the ball, can pick a pass, strong in the air in both boxes, and is very confident in his ability.”
