Brown, still only 31 years old, has over 500 career appearances to his name, across spells with West Auckland Town, Sunderland RCA, professional experience in Sweden with Ånge IF, Redcar Athletic and two spells at both Bishop Auckland and Newton Aycliffe, where he spent nearly a decade across two spells.
Across that time at Newton Aycliffe, he won EBAC Northern League’s Player of the Year in their 2022/2023 title-winning campaign.
During that time at Newton Aycliffe, Brown developed a close bond with current-Anchor Jake Petitjean, and now the two will reconnect on the pitch once again.
Brown has been a reliable asset everywhere he’s played, and has had some big games against the Anchors in their many meetings in the past, most recently in the Northern Premier League East Division, where he played in midfield in our August 2023 matchup with Newton Aycliffe.
Aaron is primarily a centre-half, which is where he spent a majority of last season as captain of Bishop Auckland, sweeping their awards night ceremony, winning four different Player of the Year accolades. He also tallied five goals last season, and certainly hasn’t been shy of finding the target throughout his career.
Now, Aaron adds his experience to the Anchors’ squad, and will look to make an instant impact wherever he’s needed to play.
