The schedule for the early rounds of the Emirates FA Cup and Buildbase FA Vase has been confirmed by the Football Association this afternoon.
Stockton Town have been accepted into both competitions, with the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round scheduled to take place on Tuesday 1 September.
After being knocked out in the Extra Preliminary Round in their first two seasons in the FA Cup, the Anchors won their first game in the competition last season.
Stockton made it through to the Second Qualifying Round last season, beating Nostell Miners Welfare, Northallerton Town and Liversedge before being edged out away to National League North side, Guiseley.
This season, there will be no replays in the FA Cup and the prize money for the competition has been halved.
As for the FA Vase, the Anchors first competed in the competition in the 2016-17 season, where they made it to the Second Round Proper after victories over Eccleshill United, four-time winners Whitley Bay and Holker Old Boys.
Following on from that, in just their second season entering the competition, Michael Dunwell’s side made it all the way to the Final at Wembley Stadium – narrowly losing against Thatcham Town in the capital.
The dates for the early round of both competitions will be released on Tuesday 18 August and news will be posted through the official club social media channels.
