Stockton Town Football Club would like to provide the following updates regarding ground developments at The MAP Group UK Stadium.
As you will be aware, the club gained planning permission last week for the ground improvements required to play at Step 4 of the National League System.
These improvements have started to take place this week and we need to make you aware of some changes for Saturday’s game against Pontefract Collieries and for future games.
The existing seated stand will be available for use on Saturday, but has been relocated to the opposite end of the Ground. The new seated stand will only be partially constructed, and will not be available for use and will be cordoned off.
It has previously been popular to stand along the side where you enter the ground through the turnstile. These standing areas will become very limited due to the seated stands sight lines and the fact that the Stands are located closer to the pitch.
There will be temporary signage in place this weekend and ground staff will be on duty to manage these areas, but please be aware that the standing areas inside the ground will of changed.
The club would really appreciate your understanding and cooperation on these matters while we complete these changes and improvements to our spectator facilities.
Once these works are complete we will be looking to start work on the new hospitality building within the ground, which, once again, will cause some disruption, but will completely enhance matchday’s for spectators, players and officials.
We will of course communicate further in the coming weeks to keep you informed of further progress with ground improvements.
