Anchors win to seal 6th place

The Anchors edged past Dunston tonight with several players rested after the previous nights efforts and the 3 points guarantees 6th place in their first season in ENL 1. An amazing effort by the squad all year and especially to win 6 of the last 7 League games all away from home and with the Vase Final obviously at the back of the Players minds. Three U18s playing tonight augers well for the Club’s future as an own goal and a Sonni Coleman effort, late on, ensured victory in the last league game of a very very very long season…… No complaints about having to play one more though …….
