Stockton Town will meet with Emley for the first ever time on Saturday.
Emley are in the midst of their first NPL Premier Division season after promotion via the playoffs of the NPL East division last season.
Stockton will want to quickly put disappointment from Tuesday behind them, where the Anchors were slenderly beaten by Lancaster City, one-goal-to-nil.
Despite a strong start to life in step three, wining two of their opening three, the West Yorkshire-based side are without a victory since that win over Leek Town in mid-August.
A 1-1 draw at FC United of Manchester on Tuesday snapped a five-game league losing run, conceding 17 goals in that spell.
This run of form has left them in 19th place, two spots below the Anchors, with 11 points from 13 games.
However, the Pewits do boast a strong squad, especially in the front line. Former Whitby star midfielder Aaron Haswell has the likes of the ever-reliable Diego Di Girolamo and former Warrington Rylands talent Alex Kiwomya in front of him, providing a serious goal-scoring threat.
Former EFL Forward Richard Tracey is the man at the helm of Emley, taking charge back in 2019 and leading his side to two promotions in that time.
Captain Jack Cowgill is a familiar face to Anchors fans, as he played against Stockton on a number of occasions during his time at Ossett United.
Manager Michael Dunwell spoke ahead of the meeting following defeat on Tuesday evening, stating: “We’ve got to be brighter, especially starting brighter. We have to get back to setting our levels like we did against Bury.”
