Stockton Town ended August in defeat as they lost out to Redcar Athletic in a Teesside Derby.
The Anchors came into the game on the back of a 5-3 defeat to Avro on Saturday.
Michael Dunwell made three changes to the Starting XI. Ryan Barrett and Josh Baggs were brought in to play the wing back positions and Frank Nouble partnered Josh Scott up front.
Stockton almost made the perfect start when a long ball forward from Baggs came through to Scott but he was unable to make enough of a connection to trouble Josh Mazfari.
The Anchors came close again when Cam Painter’s clipped ball was narrowly missed by Aaron Brown who was free inside the box.
Ryan Barrett then sent a promising ball into the box but Scott sliced wide.
Redcar Athletic had the first half’s best opportunity right before the whistle when neat work put Adam Boyes through on goal but his effort struck the post.

Stockton started the second half brightly as Callum Bone had a shot blocked after twisting and turning in the box.
After Boyes sent a half-volley wide of the target, Stockton came up the field with intent which ended in Scott curling over from just outside the box.
But it was Redcar who opened the scoring when subsitute Curtis Round pounced on a loose ball in the box to convert.
The visitors took command of the game and doubled their lead eight minutes later when Oscar Fletcher’s effort from range was deflected beyond Harker.
Stockton’s best chance to pull a goal back came when Nicholson almost located the far post with a header.
