Stockton Town Ladies progressed in the Adobe Women’s FA Cup with a stunning 8-2 victory at Pools Youth.
The ever-reliable Talia Korucu opened the scoring for Chris Murphy’s side in the 16th minute.
Despite a quick response from the home side, Korucu turned provider, feeding a brilliant through ball into Chloe McKinnell who slotted home nicely.
It was three not long after, Kaitlyn Bell playing a good cross across the box for Talia Korucu to meet with a nice first-time finish.
Jess Gaynor added a fourth for Stockton early in the second-half, slotting a difficult strike perfectly into the bottom corner to open her account for the season.
There was a fifth for Stockton when Kaitlyn Bell lofted in a delightful effort over the goalkeeper from the tightest of angles.
The standout goal of the afternoon came from Demi-Leigh Tapping, who had a good look at goal from a long way out, finishing out of the goalkeepers reach to add a sixth for the Anchors.
Pools Youth managed to pull a goal back, but any hopes of a historic comeback were quickly squashed, when Talia Korucu completed her hat-trick, lofting a ball over the onrushing goalkeeper.
The game closed with debutant Lauren Gray getting in on the act, firing a penalty high into the corner, topping off an 8-2 victory for Stockton, booking their place in the Second Qualifying Round of the competition.
Chris Murphy’s side face back-to-back home games against Park View after drawing them in the FA Cup Second Qualifying Round.
