Young Anchors Set Sights on Treble After Title Win

After claiming the JPL League Title last Saturday, Stockton Town U18 have the treble in their sights.

The Young Anchors were crowned Champions after their scheduled opponents D P Football Academy withdrew from the match.

Of their 13 games, they won 12 and lost just one and scored 56 goals while conceding just 10- the lowest in the league.

“The boys were delighted to win the league, for most of them it’s the work of two years that has got us to this point,” Coach Paddy Davis said.

“The lads have bought into what we want to do, but also the club as a whole and they understand what the aim of this U18 team is.”

He later praised his fellow coaching team, “I am also delighted for Kryan (Foster) and Mark (Bruce) who have put so much into our training session to develop the lads individually and as a unit.”

Their next quest in claiming a treble comes in the form of the JPL Cup when they host AR Elite at the Semi-Final stage- 11.20am Kick-Off at the MAP Group UK Stadium.

Manchester-Based AR Elite, who claim to be the City’s leading talent ID Centre, have also enjoyed a stellar campaign with a solitary league defeat.

“It’s been an exciting season, being able to bring more silverware to the MAP Group UK Stadium would be a testament to the lads,” Davis concluded.

Fans can enjoy a double–header by taking in the JPL Cup Semi-Final against AR Elite ahead of our home game against Hyde United.
