We are pleased to announce that for the 2024/25 season, The Map Group Stadium will be the home ground for Billingham Synthonia FC.
Billingham Synthonia have a rich history of none league football across the Teesside area, currently playing in the EBAC Northern League Division 2. Synners narrowly missed out on the play-offs last season, finishing just one point outside of the playoff places.
Stockton Towns Director of Football, Liam Cox, states ‘We are delighted to be hosting Billingham Synthonia for this coming season. Synthonia is a storied football club so it is brilliant to have them ground sharing with us and we know a lot of local fans who seek those none league footballing Saturdays will enjoy coming to the Map Group Stadium looking for their footballing fix. As the club continues to grow both on and off the pitch it is a testament to all involved at Stockton Town that a club like Billingham are wanting to use our ground and we are sure this will be a great addition to our already excellent club’
Paul Dolan, Billingham Synthonia Chairman said ‘I would personally like to thank Stockton Town FC in their help and assistance getting the ground share over the line. It’s a great day for Billingham Synthonia FC as we will now be more accessible to our supporters and much closer to home. We are looking to build upon a great season last season and looking forward to an exciting season ahead. We would also like to wish Stockton all the very best in their season ahead in a new division.’
This ground share between Stockton Town FC and Billingham Synthonia FC has been a while in the making due to ensuring zero impact will happen on our usual operations as a club. Along with the Northern League being hospitable in working with us to avoid any clashes, we can ensure to all of our junior teams and current users of our 3G pitch that they will not be impacted by the move.
We wish Billingham Synthonia all the best of luck for the coming season and hope they make that leap towards gaining promotion back into The EBAC Northern League Division 1.
