Stockton Town will be holding a remembrance ceremony before the Northern Premier League East Division game against Yorkshire Amateur on Saturday 6 November.
The ceremony will involve both teams, representatives from the Royal British Legion (RBL) and members of the club’s Under-11 team.
As part of the day, we are inviting as many veterans and serving members of the armed forces to come along to the game. We have raised over £500 to cover the gate for whoever wants to come and be a part of the day.
The club are also pleased to announce that any cost over will be covered as we want this to be a special day to remember and pay tribute to those that we have lost along the way.
On the day, there will be collection buckets for the Royal British Legion. If you can give, please do for this magnificent cause.
Any soldiers or veterans that wish to come, please arrive no later than 2:30pm and meet in the club’s dance studio, which is next to the main lounge – we will then escort you down to the pitch.
If you have any questions, please contact info@stocktontownfc.com or message through our social media accounts.
Let’s make this a day to remember, and show our support for our Armed Forces. Lest We Forget.
