MATCH REPORT

Boldon CA FC v Stockton Town FC

Stockton’s first away game of the Season saw us visit Boldon CA. Stockton were missing Scott Meehan with an ankle injury and James Ward due to his cricket commitments but welcomed back Luke Whittaker for the first time since early April. Stockton opened brightly and took an early lead with a Kallum Hannah penalty after Kallum himself was upended in the box by the Boldon keeper. The second goal will be a contender for goal of the season, a diagonal ball out of defence found Max Craggs still in his own half, a quick one two sent Max away down Boldon’s right and his first time cross was smashed in at the back post by Kallum Hannah for his second of the game. The second half saw Carlton McCabe claim his first of the season with a fine finish into the bottom corner from 20 yards and this was quickly followed by a Adam Nicholson header from a left wing corner. Stockton’s scoring was completed with another sensational Tom Coulthard free kick, from 22 yards, up over the wall and into the top corner. The win keeps Stockton top on goal difference and next up is Silksworth CW.
