Annfield Plain visited Bishopton Road West for the second time this Season this time in a League fixture. Stockton started the game on top but Annfield were a threat on the break stretching the Stockton defence on a number of occasions. Stockton eventually took the lead on 30 minutes when a great move down the right found Kallum Hannah inside the box, a turn to free himself onto his left foot and the ball was dispatched into the far corner. The second half started in controversy when Stockton Town’s forward Chris Stockton was shown a straight red card for what looked like a straight forward committed challenge on 50 minutes. A lesser team than Stockton may of found it difficult with 10 men but it was soon 2 0 with a fine Tony Johnson finish on 58 minutes and he quickly followed this up with a right foot strike to make it 3 0. Stockton saw the game out which saw them maintain their 9 point lead at the top of the Wearside League.
