Stockton Town came from behind to beat Bishop Auckland and continue their strong Pre-Season form.The Anchors fell behind when JJ Bartliff struck inside two minutes before a Stephen Thompson brace put them ahead at the break.Jack Spears added a third in the second half to add to his flurry of Pre-Season goals.Michael Dunwell gave Thompson his first start of Pre-Season and gave Michael Fowler the nod through the middle.It was the visitors who took an early lead when former Stockton youngster JJ Bartliff managed to lob Nathan Harker.Although the Anchors hit back mere minutes later when Thompson powered a strike into the roof of the net.Kev Hayes came close when he struck a low effort which curled wide. Then Fowler held up a cross from the left and found Jacob Johnson who struck at the goalkeeper.Stockton went in front when Thompson tackled the goalkeeper and the ball found its way in.Shortly before half-time Captain Adam Nicholson forced the goalkeeper into a good save with a header.Half-Time: Stockton Town 2-1 Bishop Auckland.Thompson continued his impressive form into the second half and almost completed his hattrick but his low strike trickled inches wide.Bishop Auckland had a force field on their goal when the Anchors had several successive chances to increase their lead with every one blocked or saved.Stockton finished the game with four Under-18 players on the pitch.
