Stockton Town started this game with three players under the age of 20 and finished the game with three players over the age of 35.
Stockton set about keeping the 100% home record going, having won all of the league and cup games played at Bishopton Road West.
It was down to the youngsters to shine in the first half, Sonni Coleman made the Richmond keeper Karl Latcham to pull off a fine save after 13 minutes, before Ben Priestley pounced on to a Stephen Roberts pass to fire past Latcham to give Stockton the lead after 31 minutes. This was Ben’s first goal in senior football for the Club, Ben started playing for Stockton Town as a Under 8 and has only played for the Club.
The second half was for the older end of the squad, with Alan Cossavella already on he was joined by manager Michael Dunwell and Assistant Manager John Daniel Briggs in the over 35 category.
Tom Coulthard hit the bar after 81 minutes, before Michael Dunwell scored after 86 minutes for his 20th Stockton Town goal and his 1st of the season. A fine cross from Adam Nicholson was met 8 yards out by Michael Dunwell and his first time flick saw him grab his first goal for 14 months, his last goal was away at Seaton Carew on the 22nd February 2014.
Stockton are now unbeaten in 51 Wearside League games and have only lost 1 out of 53 Wearside League games.
