York City loanee Jonny Haase has spoke of glowingly of his time at the MAP Group UK Stadium.Â
The left-back has made ten appearances and has started the last two games in place of the suspended Dan McWilliams.
It was the first time since the opening two league games of the season that he had started in the league.
On competing for that left-back spot, Haase said: “I think it’s healthy to have competition around in a team.
“I have really enjoyed my time here. The lads are brilliant, the staff all of them they are all wanting the best for me.
“I think it’s been a good stepping stone for me.”
Prior to his arrival at Stockton Town, Haase had loan spells with Guiseley, Eccleshill United and Northallerton Town last season.
Speaking on that time, Haase said: “I had one at Guiseley (loan spell) played one game and their left-back came back from injury so I was pushed out of the team.
“Then I had one at Northallerton and Eccleshill and both of those were not great. I got a couple of games at Northallerton and Eccleshill I was shut out again.”
“But I think here as soon as I came into the changing room the lads have all been really inclusive and everyone wants the best for each other here. It’s been a really good opportunity to play.”
Haase is potentially facing his final game with Stockton Town in Saturday’s trip to Sheffield FC. His loan spell is set to end on Sunday.
“I would love to extend it. Like I have said the lads, the football you play, the staff and everyone I think it’s a place I want to be.
“If it comes to it and I can I would like to yes.”
