Girls Football at Stockton Town

The Club is delighted to announce that we have reached agreement for a number of Girls teams to move to Stockton Town under the guidance and management of Lucy Hart.

The Club has held a long time ambition to have a Girls/Ladies football structure similar to the Boys/Men’s hugely successful set up and this is just the start of this development.

Lucy who will be joining Stockton Town to head up the Girls/Ladies football within the Club and had built up a very successful number of teams playing in the Russell Foster Leagues and these teams will continue to compete in the Russell Foster as Stockton Town FC. This will mean that there will be Girls teams representing the Club ranging from U7 to U14 competing next season.

Lucy explained, “the success of our girls teams and the number of girls wishing to play was making it increasingly difficult to manage and this move is the logical one to take for the benefit of all concerned with the structure and facilities available at Stockton Town FC.”

On behalf of the Club, FDO Liam Cox said, “we have been speaking with Lucy for a number of weeks and this move fits perfectly with the Clubs ambition to grow and develop girls football in Stockton, with Lucy heading this up there will be a continuous focus on providing coaching and playing opportunities for girls throughout the town.”

Welcome to the Club and we hope you all enjoy many successful years here.
