Stockton Town exited the FA Youth Cup at the First Qualifying Round following defeat at Blyth Spartans.Â
The Young Anchors had a first half lead through Jack Spears but second half goals from Jack Simpson and substitute Thomas Heron turned it in the favour of the Spartans.
Reacting to the defeat, Under-18 manager Patrick Davis said:
“It was a difficult one to take for the lads , we could have been two up at half time.
“Credit to Blyth who were really good second half. Myself, Kyran and Mark were delighted with the effort and determination the lads showed.
“We have such a young, ambitious and talented group and there is so much more to come from us over this season and the next few years.”
The Under-18s continue their JPL campaign this Saturday when they welcome Goole AFC to the MAP Group UK Stadium- Kick-Off is at 11.45am. Fans are encouraged to attend ahead of the First Team fixture against Bootle at 3pm.
