Stockton Town are delighted to announce the signing of full back Jonny Haase on loan from York City.
The promising 19-year-old defender was handed his first professional contract at York City in the summer of 2021, leading to his first team debut that October in the National League North fixture against Southport. Haase then went on to be named on the bench for York several times.
Last season Jonny also spent time on loan at Northern Premier Division outfit Guiseley and Northern Counties East Premier Division side Eccleshill United. This season he joins the Anchors on a loan deal for three months.
He said ‘’It was a very easy decision to sign for Stockton. I love the style of football they play and I have enjoyed my time with the lads, even in a short space of time. I have been welcomed by all and feel part of a strong squad, a team with ambitions. My goals are to push to start every game, show my abilities in men’s football at a very competitive standard and just show what I am about as a player. Fans can expect an attacking full back who loves to get forward but also loves the defending aspect just as much. I play with desire and always want to win.’’
Stockton Manager Micky Dunwell added:” We are really happy Jonny has signed on loan for 3 months after he impressed during pre-season and fitted right in with the group. He brings a lot of quality in both defending and attacking from the full back position. He will bring competition for places and more strength in depth in defence, where we lacked a little last season at times.”
