Anchors drawn against Curzon Ashton in Emirates FA Cup

Stockton Town have been drawn away to Curzon Ashton in the Emirates FA Cup Second Qualifying Round.

The Anchors will travel to the National League North side on Saturday 18 September at Tameside Stadium.

Curzon Ashton currently sit fourth in the National League North table after three wins and a draw from their opening five league matches.

Kev Hayes scored twice, including a sumptuous free-kick, and provided an assist to help fire the Anchors into the Second Qualifying Round of the FA Cup for just the second time in club history.

Stockton’s last visit to this stage saw the Anchors travel to Nethermoor Park to take on National League North outfit Guiseley in the 2019/20 season, narrowly losing out 1-0 on a scorching September afternoon in West Yorkshire.

Curzon Ashton are entering the competition at this round and their record run in the competition was to the Second Round Proper during the 1979/80 and 2006/07 campaigns.
